Sex As A Weapon by Sasha White
Vanessa helped out a friend by robbing ex-husbands and turning over the riches to the wives who didn’t get their share in the divorce. She learned her trade from early on – her dad being the teacher. Each time she said it would be her last, but it is hard for her to turn down Ophelia, who saved her from herself long ago and was the reason Vanessa is successful now. But this last time, Detective Kane is on the case, and Vanessa knows she could wind up in handcuffs. But would that be such a bad thing? After all, the chemistry between them is off the charts.

This novella was really well written with both characters showing strength and vulnerability. Vanessa is breaking the law, but it is her strong sense of loyalty to Ophelia that motivates her. Kane is so taken with Vanessa that at first, he doesn’t even suspect Vanessa is the thief. The ending was a pleasant surprise.

Arrested by Alyssa Brooks
On the run from her last boyfriend, Kirsten flies into Sheriff Reid’s town, and he doesn’t take kindly to her reckless driving in a reportedly stolen car. His jail is being remodeled so he has to take her home with him and the sparks fly. He doesn’t want to hear her sob story. He just wants her! After a very pleasurable night together, he overhears her talking to her ex on the phone and realizes she has been telling the truth all along. But will he be able to rescue her when she runs?

Be sure to have ice water handy, as the sexual chemistry between Kirsten and Reid is off the charts. You’ll find all your emotions tugged as Kirsten and Reid learn about trust and love. Ms. Brooks has written a very emotional story that is all too easy to believe.

Detroit’s Finest by Renee Alexis
Tracey and Officer Troy Davenport have worked together for months, and Tracey is ready to turn her fantasy about him into reality. What Tracey doesn’t know is that Troy is her boss’s husband, even though they are separated. Troy felt guilty about the citation he issued Tracey, and later went to reimburse her for it, and they realized they had mutual feelings for each other.

Of the three novellas, this one was the most erotic, with less of a romance feel to it. Ms. Alexis can definitely write a super hot sexy story, so have ice water and a fan nearby.

This anthology is recommended for the reader who enjoys their stories red hot, but a word of warning - one story has adultery featured and that takes out some of the romance.
