| Mike has recently broken up with her boyfriend, and is tired of everyone trying to tell her why. To get away, she decides to take a vacation at a spa. When she gets there, she lights a few candles, and sinks into the Jacuzzi… and the next thing she knows she's in the middle of a cold stone floor in what looks like a pentagram. She doesn't know what's going on, but she's not happy with the kid who brought her there. Then she meets Jubal, the Wizard-Emperor of Gotrana, she knows she's in trouble, because she just might have lost her heart to a man who has to send her back to where she came from.
Mike knows from the beginning that Jubal has to send her back in a short time period, but she falls for him anyway. Jubal knows that he has no time for a woman; in fact he's not even supposed to have a real one due to his position. Neither one of them seem to be able to keep themselves from falling in love. The characters seem to be well developed and definitely draw you in. I like the fact that Mike is very intelligent, and doesn't try to hide it from Jubal. It was refreshing to find out that he's a strong man, who is not intimidated by intelligence in a woman, regardless of how his planet treats them. While I really enjoyed the story, I was a little surprised by the ending, but I am not going to get into that. I also didn't really understand the little voice inside Mike's head she called Matilida. I thought there was going to be more to Matilda than there was, and kept looking for it. The sex scenes were intense and passionate, and overall it was a great story.
