|Sarah Winter's vacation in Montana started off so well. She couldn't imagine how it could get better than the attention of three handsome cowboys. After a passionate encounter with Ryan, however, Sarah happens to look out and see all three of the men changing into wolves. A little freaked out and convinced that there's no hope for a future since she's just human, Sarah runs back to her life in New York. But the men are convinced that Sarah is meant to be their mate and aren't willing to let her forget them without a fight. One by one, they come to New York to convince her to give them all a chance at happiness. TJ is so earnest in his pursuit of her while Lance is tentative not wanting to be hurt again and Ryan knows that since he's already marked her, Sarah is his only chance at the future he's always imagined.
This was a surprisingly sweet book that I really liked. Now don't get me wrong, the story and character interaction may have felt sweet but there was nothing sweet about the chemistry and sex between Sarah and her men. The sweet came in the way the men came to almost court her into coming back to them. This wasn't what I was expecting since I usually think of the dominant alpha men when I think of werewolves, but it was a nice change of pace and didn't disappoint. I also really liked that the story wasn't predictable. Not only did Ms April not stop the story in the spot I was expecting but she also managed to weave a few surprises into it that were really fun to read. There's a great scene with Sarah and her dad that was one of my favorites in the whole book.
