Bryn Roydan is done with men. She has had enough heartbreak to last a lifetime and wants no part in it ever again. Too bad she didn't tell Logan Sutherland that. From the moment Logan noticed her scent, he knew that she was destined to be his mate. He can't get enough of her luscious smell. Unfortunately, Bryn is so wary of men, especially of tall and devastatingly handsome men such as Logan, that she won't let him get close. Logan has to take drastic measures because he wants to be a part of Bryn's life. He wants to claim his mate.

There's also another big problem that Logan has to tell Bryn. He's a werewolf and in order for her to ever fully trust him, she has to know the truth. As their relationship quickly grows, as Bryn comes to know Logan the man, he knows the time is ripe for him to tell her the truth. But will Bryn still accept him, still love him, when she knows that he is not all human? Can she ever learn to trust a wolf?

This is a phenomenal read. There really are no other words to describe it. The evolving relationship between Bryn and Logan starts off strong and just keeps picking up pace as they get to know each other more and more. While Logan knows that Bryn is his mate, he is very excited to get to know her likes and dislikes, her personal history, all the little things that together form Bryn the woman, the person he cherishes above all else. Ms. Steele does a superb job in showing how much Logan cares for Bryn, but what really touched me is the fact that she made Bryn come to care just as much for Logan. Bryn could easily have become a bitter woman, hurt and alone due to a bad marriage, but with wonderful characterizations showcasing a woman who lives life to the fullest, Bryn instead becomes a woman that all female readers can identify with because, though she is susceptible to a rugged and manly body, she knows that it is what is underneath the veneer that counts the most. Together, Bryn and Logan form a very emotional bond that will touch readers on all levels.

I couldn't put this story down and eagerly await its sequel. If you aren't a fan of werewolf stories, this might just be the story that will change your mind because of the great focus on the evolution of a loving and caring relationship between two believable and likable characters. This is a must read!
