Genia has finally reached Troy on an excavation. It has been a dream of hers for a long time. She feels a connection to the land and city, especially before its destruction. She hopes that by coming here on a dig she can satisfy the desire for this place.

Shortly after she arrives, several complications arise. The first are visions that feel so real she can’t tell if she’s imagining it or really being sucked back into the past. Trying to understand how she can see visions of the past -- a time she wasn’t even alive for -- leaves her trying to get a grip on reality. Then there’s her boss and his urge to have sex with the new girl on every dig. This time she’s the lucky one. Add in the gorgeous Achilles she just met and has an instant connection to, and everything she thought she knew has now gone out the window.

I found Troy - Lovers in the Mist to be a captivating story. I enjoyed the plot though there was one spot where I wanted to smack Achilles and Genia for their actions. The characters were engaging and fun. I could feel the instant connection between the two and knew that they were really not rushing into a romance but rekindling something stronger that had been waiting for them to remember.

While I love the points of view of the heroine and hero, and of course, the bad guy, I feel that stories get more confusing and the reader more detached when you also get mom and aunt and then an omnipotent view. This pulled me out of my immersion, but not out of the enjoyment of the story.

It was good to read about a kick ass heroine and a man who can take pride in his woman and her skills. They could have been a little smarter in regards to their personal safety, but we can blame that on young love. It would be fun to see stories with Achilles cousins. Ms. Summers has a good writing style which made this romance thoroughly enjoyable.
