Temperance isn't your usual club. This one is run by vampires and open to human clientele. Humans can get the experience of a lifetime, and vampires can safely feed without having to resort to hunting. Maxine Twilight's name isn't on the deed, but the place is hers. When a killer targeting vampires appears, she has to resort to something she never thought she'd do. Invite a human slayer into their midst.

Zachary Fox isn't a fan of vampires. He's a slayer, and a damn good one. Unfortunately, he learned the hard way that mistakes can come back to bite you in the backside. He fell in love and married his partner, Tessa, only to lose her when she was turned into that which they hunted. Though they are no longer together, he comes to her aide for old time's sake.

Fast-paced and action-packed, Twilight's Embrace packs quite a punch. The opening of the story was a little confusing between the various characters' points of views, but as the story progressed, the amount of time in each viewpoint grew in length and became more enjoyable and easier to read.

From the start I was intrigued by the mysterious killer, and hooked to find out what was going to happen next and if they were going to catch the person before anyone else died. The love scenes are hot, and the attraction between Maxine and Zach only gets steamier and steamier as the story progresses.

I was saddened and yet pleased with the ending at the same time. I think that many vampire fans, especially ones interested in smokin' hot love scenes, will enjoy this story.
