| Demon Huntress, Jaide Fox In Demon Huntress, Nariko is plagued by dreams of violence and demons, and is desperate to end them. They have been getting more and more realistic, and when the last one actually leaves marks on her she is terrified. Willing to try anything, she goes to a psychiatrist that is supposed to specialize in sleep disorders, and finds Dr. Savage. But is he really what he seems? Demon Huntress has more violence that I traditionally see in romance, and has a rape scene in it. It's a very good story that will have you on the edge of your seat, but also leaves you hanging at the end. Perhaps there's a sequel in the future?
With Great Power, Brenna Lyons With Great Power explores the world of a super hero that is forced to serve, rather than volunteering their time. It's an interesting twist on the typical superhero story, and I couldn't put it down until I was done.
Heroes Incorporated; Joy Nash Clark has an assignment. He's a superhero that has the ability to use his mental powers to program and hack into computers. He's trying to save the world, but in order to do that he has to seduce Blossom and release her powers. How is he going to do that when she can't see him as anything but a geek? Excellent story about a woman who thinks that she can only see the surface features of men. When she meets Clark she's attracted, but fights it because he's just a geek. Cute and funny, Hero's Incorporated is not a story to be missed
Silk; Michelle pillow Nikandros has been sent to find out what Quinlan intends to do with her fathers formula. When he meets her, he's attracted to her in a way he hasn't felt in a long time. But he's got secrets of his own to keep. Silk is an intense story that is about a woman who is trying to make a difference. I really enjoyed the interaction of the two characters; they each had their own agenda to follow. The chemistry between Quinlan and Nikandros is hotter than hot, and the sex sizzles. The whole anthology was an out of this world experience. I liked all the stories in it, and none of it disappointed me. They are all very different stories, with one common theme… special people that only want to help. If you are looking for something a little different and exciting, give Ultimate Warriors a try.
