The night their mare, Benny, gave birth to something that wasn't a horse was traumatizing enough. But the two beings who appeared to snatch the baby threw Sarah's world completely off kilter. Centaurs didn't actually exist, did they? She'd almost convinced herself they didn't until the night the golden haired centaur returned and snatched her from her own world and into his. Neither Teagan nor Chandler had expected to find themselves so drawn to the hoonan they'd captured as to lose their heads. But they quickly discovered it was a matter opinion as to who was the slave and who the master -- or mistress.

Transported one day to a world totally different from her own, Sarah found herself helping to take care of a fantasy that could only be found in pages of a book. Facing prejudice because she was a Hoonan or a human, she had to fight to show that not all of her kind was evil or bad. Finding herself attracted to both Chandler and Teagan was not something she had planned on but when she couldn’t fight the intensed feelings she had for both men, she succomed to the inevitable, finding out things about herself that she never knew. Chandler fought the intensed feelings he developed for Sarah, but was helpless in the end to keep away from her. Teagan was filled with fury, helplessness, and a hurt for how his life had been. Shunned most of his life, he wanted something different for his son. Realizing that Sarah held the key to not only his son’s happiness but his own as well, he too soon found himself succumbing to the sexual heat created between them. Fighting to survive the hatred of the people who wanted them either dead or as slaves, Sarah, Chandler, and Teagan would learn that together their strength was the key to their happiness. I enjoyed reading this story, which flowed with the characters everyday life of survival and adventure and learning that trust was the strongest weapon of all.
