Uncharted Territory is a story of high seas adventure. It is also, and primarily, a romance between an office girl and a pirate with a heart of gold. Ms. Cory has presented this story in such a way as to make the time period vague, but that somehow works really well. After all, don't most of us picture being swept up by a handsome pirate and carried off to his sailing ship flying the Jolly Roger? And modern pirates are not romantic at all! So, here we have a modern miss and a good old fashioned pirate, high black boots, sharp sword, and all. I recommend this book to anyone who loves pirates and the sea, and who dreams of one day having an adventure to take her out of ordinary life and off to a romantic future.
