Bryce Halsey's sex life has become a problem for the board of directors at his family's business, and if he doesn't do something quick he'll be forced to resign. His solution? Get married. Enter his assistant, Mattie Lawrence. If she agrees to marry him, not only will the board be satisfied - but so will he, in a much more personal way. For Mattie, this proposal could be a dream come true - or a recipe for heartache. Mattie's worried that Bryce doesn't see her as "submissive." But Bryce has no problem picturing her being the submissive to his dominant. However, Mattie wants Bryce's heart and he's not willing to risk the hurt. Can these two have a "happily ever after"?

This is one of those wonderful stories that has not only lots of steamy sex, but an intriguing plot and plenty of emotion. Ms. Rain has created a great bunch of characters, all very unique. Mattie is smart and independent while also having that "submissive" temperament. Bryce is funny and caring and also very definitely "Dominant". I really liked Mattie's sister, she was a sounding board and a shoulder to cry on for her "little" sister. Ms. Rain injected enough suspense into the story to keep you turning the pages. I was expecting a standard love story with plenty of hot sex, but I enjoyed the subplot. It was well crafted and enhanced the story rather than detracting from it as sometimes happens. This is the second book I've read from this author, and I plan on reading any others she writes. I like her style that much. She writes some of the most erotic love scenes I've come across, and always makes it believable. Witty dialog is something else she does well. And now I can add suspense to her list of talents! I absolutely recommend this book as a sexy, suspenseful page-turner.
