Will Malcolm be able to protect Samantha or will he find her only to lose her?
The characters of this book have very strong personalities. I found this book to be very entertaining with the back and forth between Sam and Malcolm. Malcolm is very old world while Sam is very modern. All he wants to do is protect her and she wants him to leave her be. It is funny how a man can be put in his place by a woman half his size, but it is heartening when he backs down in consideration to what she has to process. She has a lot to deal with when it comes to being Amoveo and is quite surprised at some of the things she can do, but she stills clings to her humanity like a lifeline when it gets too overwhelming. I really enjoyed reading their story and learning about the Amoveo. I am looking for to reading future books especially Dante's story. You meet him here, but know that there is more to come. Ms. Humphreys has done an excellent job in leaving the reader wanting more.
