In the sequel to The Werewolf Whisperer, Jazmine Carmichael is now the leader of the pack in Eclipse, California and as such she feels it is her responsibility to figure out why some of their town members are dying suddenly and in their wolf forms. She takes the wolf body of one of her friends to a wolf specialist hoping he can tell her what her friend died of. But Blaze Petrofsky isn't just a wolf expert; he had something to do with the initial government project that caused the people being held in Eclipse to turn into werewolves. Can Blaze help Jazmine now?

There is something rotten going on in Eclipse and the people there can't trust their government contacts anymore. People are dying mysteriously and no one will talk to them. Is the government poisoning them to get rid of them to make the problem go away permanently? Jazmine was a bad gal in the first book but she is coming around as the responsibility for the people is heavy on her shoulders. When she meets Blaze she is immediately attracted to him but can he help with their little problem? Blaze knows a lot more than he should know about werewolves and he quickly figures out that the wolf he is examining is a human. Is this his chance for redemption for his part in the initial project that ruined all these people's lives? In the first book Jazmine is not very nice and I wasn't ready to be convinced that she was a good person now but it was hard to resist with the great story telling Ms. Scott employs in this series. I did like Jazmine and I loved Blaze and the chemistry between these two is scorching. If you liked the first book about Eclipse, then you will want to read this one. If you haven't read the Werewolf Whisperer yet, then I recommend you read it first. Both stories are imaginative, tantalizing, and intriguing all rolled up in a good tale. If you are a fan of werewolves you won't want to miss out on Ms. Scott's version!
