| Lexi is a vampire, and he’s given up all hope of
rescue from the labs. He was captured after being
beaten and his sight taken by his coven, and that’s
the only reason they were able to take him alive.
He’s not sure how long he’s been there but it’s long
enough that he will never heal his eyes, and he feels
that he will never be good to any one. Then every
thing explodes and someone by the name of Bryce
escapes the lab and insists upon taking Lexi with him.
Does he have the courage to reach out to him and
become himself again?
This story was told in first person, and it’s one of those rare times that it really worked for me… I was drawn into Lexi and could really start to feel like I was seeing it all through his eyes. I first met Lexi I wasn’t really sure that I liked him, and in the beginning I wondered what exactly Bryce saw in him because he felt so sorry for himself. However, as I got to know him, I started to understand what he’s about and in the process learned to really like him. Somehow, even though it’s told from Lexi’s point of view you get to know Bryce as well, and truly like him as a person and hope they get together. The sex in the story is wild and passionate as well as a little rough because of the type of people they are, so it totally worked. I loved both characters in this story and found it to be an intriguing world; the only disappointment I had was that it had to end. Maybe a sequel will be in the making? After all, I get the feeling that Bryce is much more than he appears and would love to learn more. I’d also like to hear about Cheeta… what an interesting character. This was a wonderful story that is fast paced, has amazing multifaceted characters, and should not be missed.
