| Tom, newly separated from his wife, moves into an apartment building
called The Viceroy. This is a move that changes the very fabric of
his sexual life. In his new home he finds an old chest in a closet,
and behind that chest a secret passageway leading to who knows
where? Ruddy Meyers, the builder of the apartment building and long
time landlord knows. There, hidden from sight in the walls of The
Viceroy, he watched the tenants as they unknowingly fed his sexual
appetite. Now, Tom finds himself inexplicably drawn to follow in the
missing landlord’s voyeuristic footsteps. Ruddy had simply
disappeared back in 1959 without a trace or a clue. During his time
exploring the passageway in the walls, Tom finds the logs left
behind by Ruddy and a question sears itself on his brain... What
happened to Ruddy Meyers?
AT THE VICEROY is a sneak peek into voyeurism. Readers understand the attraction and addiction Tom and Ruddy faced at The Viceroy, because who hasn‘t found watching others in sexual play a turn on? The tenants appear perfectly normal to everyday people, but, in the privacy of their apartments, hot sexual encounters abound! This book has a little of everything - BSDM, self-pleasure, fetishes, affairs, mystery, crimes, humor, and much much more. The lead man, Tom, realizes he has become a voyeur addict but he is unable to stop, having managed to become somehow involved in each of the other tenants lives in one way or another. The characters point of view switched often and I found the sequence to be a little confusing and somewhat jumpy in places but, with careful attention, I was able to decipher who was doing what and when most of the time. Yes, this book is a mystery of sorts, but I found it to be more of an erotic story with the mystery entwined in it rather than a mystery with some erotica tossed in for good measure. Still, through all the hot sex scenes and escapades of his neighbors, Tom is plagued by the mystery of Ruddy and his unexpected disappearance years earlier. Where is he? Is he alive? Is he hidden somewhere, lurking and watching even more unaware tenants in some other apartment building? If the mystery interests you as much as the multitude of various sexual encounters, then the answer lies at the end of the book... maybe.
