| Finley owns her own business and works long hours. When she's home, she fantasizes. Sexual fantasies that feature her and her hot neighbor, Trace. But Finley has sworn off going out with men that are just looking for a good time and as far as she's concerned her neighbor is one of those. When two men accost her after she leaves work, and she's subsequently rescued by the locally renowned vigilante, 'The Night Watcher', she fantasizes about him too. But Trace, is there for her and she begins to realize he might not be the playboy she first thought.
Trace wants Finley, all his attempts to get closer and get to know her have gotten him nowhere. Trace's life is complicated. He has visions that cause horrendous headaches, visions of the future, victims of crime. He's suffered from them ever since he survived a near fatal traffic accident. As his alter ego, he rescues Finley. But as Trace he has found away to get closer to her, be a good friend to her. Does he dare tell her his secret? Waitin' On A Hero is a fun and rather enjoyable story. The characters are loveable, you can't help feeling sorry for Trace. He's desperate to get to know Finley, and she more or less ignores him. She struggles to keep her business, often working late, leaving no room for dating. However, Finley is a woman not afraid to be sexually adventurous but doesn't want another man who only wants her for a good time in the bedroom. I liked her. There is much more to this story than two people wanting each other. The sex scenes are incendiary and highly sensual. There is enough action to up the ante, adding another dimension to this well written novel.
