Tris and Lane have been good friends for years. But Lane was married so Tris could never act on his feelings. Lane decides to leave her husband but gets put in the hospital from his beating instead. After that, she decides to leave for a year without telling Tris. She finally comes back and Tris is excited. He knows what he wants and he is going after it this time. Lane is a nurse and when Tris's father has a stroke, she is there to help out. The siblings convince her to help him during his recovery.

Tris and Lane are well-written characters who pulled on my heartstrings from the very beginning. I was rooting for the two of them to get together from the beginning and watching the twists and turns of their relationship was a little hard sometimes when it started to go off track. The sex was somewhat explicit and fairly frequent. Emotions were fully engaged the entire time because they are started out with the basis of a friendship. I felt that it just added to the story. The dialogue was great. I loved how all of the characters bantered and teased each other. It made for a fun book that kept me laughing and fully engaged the entire time. The plot was not predictable. There were some twists and turns that I was not expecting to happen. This is the third book in the Wild Irish series. I would recommend reading the first two in the series before this one to get a full enjoyment but it can stand alone without being confusing. The series is all about this family and they are very close so they are a big part of all the books. This book mixes family, independence, and romance together very well to come up with a great book.
