Dr. Bo Broussard has been contacted by South Bay High School to investigate the mysterious disappearance of several students. His team; Sam Raintree, Andre Meloy, Cecile Langlois, David Broom, and the new member of the team Dean Delapore go to the site of the school to investigate fearing that they may have found another inter-dimensional portal. They each remember the nightmare they faced at the Oleander House and dread what they may discover.

Bo and Sam continue to share feelings for one another but Bo is still in the closet. Sam is frustrated with having to hide how he feels. The new member of the team is a handsome man that shows an obvious interest in Sam putting more pressure on Bo. The fear of being outted may cost Bo the only true love he has ever had.

What Hides Inside draws the reader in with breath taking suspense as all signs point to a familiar horror. Readers are encouraged to read the first book in this series to truly understand what the characters face in this exciting story. Readers grow closer to the characters through their personal interactions and will find themselves attached to this compelling group as they love and face danger together. Problems still exists and the characters will come face to face with death only to discover what it means to be alive.

The relationship between Bo and Sam is heartbreaking as Bo continues to fear coming out of the closet. Their hearts belong to one another but Bo allows his fear to make his decisions. The chemistry between the two characters is electrifying and the passion is boiling right under the surface. If Bo allows himself to love Sam things will get very hot. Readers will find themselves both understanding Bo’s fear and frustrated that he can not move past it. With the character of Dean added to the story there is the possibility that Sam finds someone new. The tension builds as they try to work out their feelings while working on a dangerous case.

Readers can look forward to some delightfully delicious scenes described in explicit details. This is a same sex romance where two men come together in heated passion. The romance in the story is balanced well with the mystery of the case with neither overpowering the other. Readers that enjoy romance and edge of the seat tales that are sure to raise the heart rate will enjoy the frightening story of What Hides Inside by Ally Blue. I look forward to the next book in this exciting series.
