Naomi Parker was an old-maid school teacher who taught at the Sparrow Creek Ladies Seminary. When Comancheros raided the school, killed the man who worked outside and kidnapped the girls, Naomi vowed to do whatever it took to get them back. She had no idea her life would change so much in the attempt.

Brothers Robert (known as The Deacon) and Samuel (called Snake) McCallister had teamed up with their cousin Charlie Wolf McCallister and were known across country for their bounty hunting success. Wolf, half Kiowa and half white, didn’t fit into either world very well. He looked totally Indian until you saw his gray eyes. They were in pursuit of Jericho Jones and his Comancheros for the $10,000 reward. He demanded more of Naomi than he expected her to accept to obtain his help. He was surprised when Naomi agreed to his terms for her help—she didn’t understand that their arrangement was permanent.

Ms. Gem Sivad has, once again, mesmerized me with her writing abilities. This, the first in a new series called The Bounty Hunters, is as good, if not better than the others I have read. This poignant love story involves two totally opposite personalities. They do, however, mesh their lives together in a beautiful way. Both strong, loveable main characters had a tumultuous, explicit relationship which is not recommended for everyone. However, the storyline captured my attention and would not let go.

Sivad’s characters were varied and many. Each had a specific purpose in the book and I could not put it down. I read it through in one sitting. There was so much diverse activity that the story never got dull. The ending was totally unexpected. The action was nonstop and captivating. The sensuality was through the roof.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical romance with a lot of drama. The book is explicit; however, so younger or more sensitive readers should not read it.
