A flock of rogue pigeons, a nursery rhyme, an unknown savior and one superstitious, metrosexual friend later, Kelly finds her entire life turned upside down. She's plummeted head first into the extraordinary and suddenly finds herself saddled with a see-through imaginary man she had created when she was a child... Only she doesn't remember him ever being so completely irresistible...
Kelly hadn't planned on falling in love, especially with an imaginary being, but her heart had other ideas. Can she figure out a way to keep him, to prove that magic and fantasy can exist in real life? Or will he be torn from her forever by the self-centered world's lack of belief?

About Brieanna Robertson
I have been telling stories since I was able to comprehend words. While most kids in the first grade were playing tag, I was the one all by myself in the corner of the soccer field pretending it was a gateway to a different world. For as long as I can rememeber, there have always been people in my head begging to have their stories told.
I write love stories. Contemporary and fantasy. The world we live in is greatly devoid of love and true friendship. I write stories that revolve around these themes, as well as the overall message to be true to yourself. We were created as individuals. We should strive to be just that.

An Interview with Brieanna Robertson
By Holly Hewson for The Romance StudioHH: Brieanna, thank you for joining us at TRS. What can you tell us about your featured work, Beyond Wild Imaginings. BR: This story is very dear to my heart. It is fantasy and romance, but the underlying message is about regaining your childish innocence and not losing your belief in the extraordinary. It shows how magic can exist in a cynical world, and how the most amazing things can be brought about by faith and love.
HH: Your heroine is at the end of a string of bad luck, about to experience some incredible things. What gave you the idea for this story? BR: This story actually came about from my own personal experience. When I was a child I used to play in this imaginary fantasy world and have amazing adventures with the characters I created. They were real to me at the time, and in a sense, still are. All of my friends outgrew the childish play. I, apparently, never did. lol. I think that is the truth for many writers. I wanted to write a story based around a woman who had been abandoned by all of her childhood playmates who wanted to be "adult" and how she, by remaining true to herself and her creativity, was able to experience a real life fairy tale.
HH: Your heroine is a writer. Is writing about a writer easy? Or a challenge? BR: Writing about a writer is extermely easy for me. lol. Like writing myself! I actually have a few characters who are writers. I enjoy exploring the eccentricity that belongs solely to them.
HH: Your heroine's life gets completely pulled apart in this story and then put back together. Was this a result of careful plotting? Or did you go as inspiration struck? BR: I hardly ever carefully plot anything. I tend to write by the seat of my pants and just let my characters tell their stories. This story was relatively easy to write as so much of it came from my own personal experience. Garren's character wrote himself, I have to say. Halfway through the book he had completely turned my tentative story line on its head.
HH: What do you like most about your leading characters in this story? BR: I love Garren's childlike qualities. He is strong and capable and very dominant, but he has the curiosity and naivety of an inexperienced youngester and I found that really refreshing to write. So much in our world is jaded and Garren is so pure of heart. I loved seeing the world through his eyes. I also enjoyed how accepting Kelly is of Garren throughout the entire story. Her reailty is turned upside down, but she takes it in stride and I find that admirable. I, of course, love the characters' devotion to one another. I am a hopeless romantic, so the love story is always something I enjoy writing.
HH: What is the biggest reason you're a writer? BR: I have to write. It isn't a desire. It is a necessity. Writing is an integral part of my personality and my soul. It's my driving force and my escape.
HH: What goals have you set for yourself at this point in your career? BR: I am so thankful and grateful to be where I am at this point in my career. I have worked so hard to get here and the only thing I can say is that I hope to keep building a readership and keep going up from here. I want what any writer wants. I want someone to read my stories and be touched by them. If I accomplish that, I have successfully done my job.
HH: What is a good writing day for you? BR: A day when I don't have to worry about the bills, the car payment, the hundred projects I have to do, the cats, the husband or anything else. It's when I can sit down at my computer with a cup of coffee and spend all day working on one of my novels. It's the most satisfying feeling in the world at the end of the day to know that I accomplished a large chunk of text. I love spending my time immersed in my world. It's like a vacation.
HH: What's your favorite way to interact with readers? BR: Any way, really. I love talking to my readers. The easiest way is on forums, of course, or through my myspace.
HH: What else do you have in store for lucky readers? BR: I have lots of irons in the fire! I have another fantasy book entitled Warrior's Rise coming out in the near future, as well as Book 4 in my Serendipity series of contemporary romance. That one is entitled Paladin. I am currently working of lots and lots of fantasy, as well as a couple short stories so stay tuned and keep checking my website!
HH: Thank you!
