2nd Post from the Crime of the Century-murder in a small town
The couple explained that after moving to the county, they lived in a tent for several months on the farm without benefit of electricity or other conveniences. They used the barn, which came with the Trowbridge Road property, to house their show horses brought with them from Xenia.
Sarah claimed one of the considerations in the family moving to the area was safety, saying she and Dale felt their kids “would be exposed” to fewer problems in a rural area.
They explained how Annette was a college student majoring in computer science, with plans of “graduating, getting married, and working.”
Sarah said the last time she saw Annette was the Thursday before she disappeared. The girl apologized to her and Dale for moving out of the trailer without saying goodbye. Sarah claimed she often worked a split shift at the doctor’s office, and sometimes would not see Annette for several days.
