Blame It On The Duke by Lenora Bell

Without love flowers wouldn’t grow in the spring
And without spring, birdies just couldn’t sing
Everybody needs love

– Deon Jackson, lyrics from Love Makes the World Go Round

Dearest Readers,

When someone asks me, “Why do you write romance?” I reply, “Because love makes the world go round.” It’s just that simple. I believe that love has the power to transform lives, that passion and joy go hand in hand, and that everybody needs love.

And what better way to celebrate love than by delving into the pages of a romance novel?

In Blame It on the Duke I had a blast matching a notorious rake and a bookish lady with a talent for languages and a taste for adventure. Forced to marry by their parents, they agree to a convenient arrangement—one summer together and then Alice will be free to travel while Nick revels in the time he has left before the curse of the Hatherly Madness takes hold.

Of course, love has a way of changing all the rules…

Alice will never be the same once she discovers the real Nick. And the wild and wicked marquess has no idea what hits him when clever, curious, and oh-so-tempting Alice turns his world upside down.

For those of you who are new to me, each book in the series is inspired by a classic tale (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Wizard of Oz, and Alice in Wonderland) but they all stand alone so feel free to jump right in!

At the heart of this story is the idea that love gives us hope. Hope for a better future…and a better world. And so, from my heart to yours…I hope you enjoy Blame It on the Duke!

Warmest wishes,
Lenora
