Marketing efforts for Grace’s Turmoil
Marketing efforts for ‘Grace’s Turmoil’
I’m new to the writing game and even newer to the marketing side of it. But I’m doing my best both at a local and international level.
Locally I’ve had good coverage with an article in my local Link Magazine, and two in my local paper, The Swindon Advertiser, and with the local radio station Swindon 105.5.
Here’s a link for the latest Swindon Advertiser article, https://goo.gl/rEzxot and one for the radio interview which can be heard as a podcast for the next 44 days http://www.swindon1055.com/ondemand/
I’ve also had posters put up in some local premises, including community centres, and given out flyers at one community centre. Because Grace’s Turmoil is not in print but is available as an eBook or from Amazon on Print-on-Demand I don’t have any physical copies so haven’t been able to do any book-signings as such. However, I was recently handed a copy in my local community centre and asked to sign it.
Internationally I’ve tried to use social media as much as possible, even though when I started knew nothing about it. So, Facebook, Twitter, Triberr, and Pinterest have all been utilised. Plus, I belong to various Facebook and Yahoo groups and post on them as much as I can. Not to mention of course my own website/blog at https://peterperrin.blog where I post updates and host author and character interviews.
This is no doubt a small effort compared with more knowledgeable people than me and I welcome any input suggestions from people who can tell me how I can market smarter and more effectively
