Owner Michelle Tuplin had announced the move on TikTok earlier this year, explaining that while professional movers and costly packing services were options, she hoped the community would step in. And step in they did.
Dubbed the “book brigade,” volunteers of all ages lined the street, passing books hand-to-hand with remarkable care—and even managed to keep them in alphabetical order.
