Buzz Books Fall/Winter Season Preview

The Publishers Lunch season previews continue with Part 1 of Nonfiction. As always, excerpts of asterisked titles are available to read right now in our their ebook collection, Buzz Books 2025: Fall/Winter.

Plus, they are excited to announce their first-ever Nonfiction Editors & Authors Panel on June 5 from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EasternRegister now to hear from Char Adams, Christine Kuehn, Angela Buchdahl, and Dr. Gerta Keller and their editors.

This season’s books cover current events, cultural criticism, and creative lives, while collected works across genres feature new and well-loved pieces from celebrated writers. In new collections of essays, Zadie Smith studies art of all kinds, Shea Serrano comments on the virtuosity of basketball, and Elizabeth Kolbert examines climate and nature. Fall will also see the release of posthumous books by Nikki Giovanni, Anthony Bourdain, Eve Babitz, and David McCullough.

Memoirs will continue to draw attention this season, with offerings from Dolly Parton, Steph Curry, Dick Van Dyke, Lionel Richie, Judd Apatow, and Volume 2 of Cher’s autobiography. Literary celebrities, too, will share their stories, including those from Margaret Atwood, Arundhati Roy, Patti Smith, Susan Orlean, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Joy Harjo.
