Authors Equity Teams Up with Lyx to Revolutionize Series Publishing

In a bold move that could reshape the romance publishing landscape in North America, Authors Equity has announced a strategic partnership with German romance giant Lyx to launch a rapid-release program for hit romance titles. The initiative is designed to eliminate the long wait between books in a series by drastically reducing the traditional 12–18-month gap between releases to just two months.

The first title in this groundbreaking schedule is ANYWHERE by bestselling author Sarah Sprinz, which kicks off the Dunbridge Academy series—a European sensation now heading stateside. It will be followed closely by LESSONS IN FAKING by Selina Mae, the debut installment in the Hall Beck University series.

To support the rollout, Authors Equity has brought Danielle Finnegan on board as brand marketing lead. Finnegan, formerly of Little, Brown, brings deep industry experience to the table as the company seeks to replicate Lyx’s European success in the North American market.

“This model reflects how younger readers—especially Gen Z and millennials—consume content today,” said Nina von Moltke, President of Authors Equity. “They want consistency and momentum in their romance reading journey, just as they experience it when streaming. We’re bringing the same approach to publishing by delivering LYX’s already-successful stories on a schedule that matches modern content consumption habits.”

The collaboration marks a significant evolution in romance publishing, blending the binge-worthy rhythm of digital media with the timeless appeal of love stories. For fans of swoon-worthy series and fast-paced releases, the wait just got a whole lot shorter.
